The Town of Reardan is seeking a new Police Chief. We are looking for a visible, approachable leader committed to building trust, strengthening relationships, and supporting the high quality of life our residents enjoy.
Reardan is a small rural agricultural community where neighbors know one another and the town benefits from dedicated local leadership and citizens who value professionalism, integrity, and public safety.
The Police Chief is responsible for directing the day‑to‑day operations of the Police Department, including law enforcement services, community engagement, budgeting, supervision of reserve officers, policy development, and coordination of emergency response. The Police Chief serves as the head of the department and reports directly to the Mayor.
Qualified candidates will have law enforcement experience and hold current Washington State certifications or have the ability to obtain the required certifications for chief and reserve oversight.
Position is open until filled, salary is dependant on experience.
