Third Class: $93,717.33*
Second Class: $97,646.11*
First Class: $103,955.54*
Senior First Class: $109,153.31*
*Current contract terms Dec 31, 2026. The City is currently in contract negotiations with the Union and anticipates increased rates effective Jan 1, 2027.

Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Washington driver’s license (or ability to obtain)
- Extensive background, polygraph, physical and psychological exam
- Lateral applicants will have successfully completed the Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA) and have at least one year experience as a Law Enforcement Officer.
- Additional requirements may be established by the Civil Service Commission
